Update 3: Maatregelen omtrent Coronavirus

English below

Beste leden,

Bestuur XII

Dear members,

Following the developments communicated by the government, we had to make new decisions.

Activities:

– All activities will be cancelled till June the 1st, this includes the mini-EKV, the Batavierenrace, the Brothersisterday, the Medical Careerday and the Great Counsels.

– We want to thank all the committees who would organise an activity in this period, you have done really well!

– We are looking at the possibilities to move some activities to a later date, but for as now there’s no news.

– We are counting on it that activities after the 1st of June can go through, so we wish all the committees the best of luck with the preparations!

– The Pulsehok will be closed, as long as the university will be closed.

– We are looking at new opportunities to organise activities. Every Friday we plan to organise a “vrijmibo” with an online activity, so keep an aye on our social media!

– There will also be some longer running activities. For example, members will be able to send a recipe that they love to us, and we will make a “Pulse cooks”-book out of it! More information will follow.

ALV:

– The ALV that should have taken place in March, will not be moves to a different date. The ALV in June will go through as planned, for as now. We will inform you all in a different way about everything we planned to discuss at the March ALV.

Further information:

– There are still a lot of opportunities in which you as a student can help!

– If you have questions you can still send an email to msvpulse@maastrichtuniversity.nl.

– For questions about your education you can go to http://www.askfhml.nl/. We also advise everyone to check the Announcements and their studentmail. When there’s news about education, it will be communicated through there.

– For general updates about the policy of the university, we advise to check https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/

– There is also a very interesting article about why it is so important to flatten the curve: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/world/corona-simulator/?fbclid=IwAR1JXg625NIZaXXSbHHCA5p348-H0jvFsR4eaQrdCAP-xzpZRsIWJnGuWrI

More information will follow, so keep an eye on our social media.

Thank you all for understanding,

The XIIth Board
